Nissan has announced that Mike Colleran will be promoted to corporate vice president and chairman of the Infiniti Motor Company as of April 1, 2020.
Over the next three years, the company aims to launch five new models to begin a major brand transformation, with Colleran stepping into the chairman role as Infiniti moves to its new headquarters to Yokohama, Japan.
After joining the Nissan Motor Corporation in 2011 as the vice president of sales in Canada, Colleran was responsible for overseeing Nissan’s network of dealer operations within the country, before going on to work as regional vice president of the North Eastern USA market.
As Colleran formerly held the role of vice chairman and global division vice president of marketing and sales operations since March 2019, Infiniti believe that he has the right experience to step into the new role.
Christian Vandenhende, executive officer, chief quality officer and vice chief performance officer of Nissan, commented, “Mike has proven to be an effective leader in managing change and transforming culture as the Infiniti brand moves into its next chapter in Japan. With his passion for the brand, its retailers and customers, I can’t think of a better person to lead our company’s flagship luxury brand into the future.”
