Group PSA has said that all DS Automobile models will have an electrified powertrain starting from 2025.
While the company has already announced that the second generation of its models will be available in hybrid or electric variants, the group has announced that from 2025 all new DS cars will be electrified.
Yves Bonnefont, CEO of the DS brand, said, “Starting in 2025, each new DS will be launched exclusively with electrified powertrains. Our ambition is very clear: for DS to be among the global leaders in electrified cars in its segment.
“Our strategy is underway with the arrival of DS 7 Crossback E-Tense, fitted with a gasoline-electric drivetrain and boasting 300ps. And it is to be followed soon with the presentation of the first 100% electric DS model.”
The DS 7 Crossback E-Tense, which will have its first official outing in autumn 2019, will offer four-wheel drive, 300ps and a 48km driving range in zero emission mode (WLTP drive cycle). DS Automobiles first pure EV will be unveiled at the 2018 Paris Motor Show this autumn.
