Fiat has announced the removal of all non-electrified vehicles from sale in the UK. In 2021, more than 60% of Fiat’s UK line-up was electrified, but from July 2022 100% of the Italian OEM’s UK range will be electrified.
“This step in Fiat’s history marks a pivotal point in our commitment to providing affordable and sustainable mobility solutions for all of our customers,” said Greg Taylor, Fiat and Abarth UK managing director. “The move lends itself to our vehicles which are suited to urban areas, spearheaded by the popularity of the New 500.”
The brand’s first electrified vehicles were the 500 Hybrid and Panda Hybrid, and these were followed by the new-generation fully-electric 500 and 500X, as well as the Tipo Hybrid. The new Fiat 500, which is the first BEV Fiat designed from the ground up, is available in 24kWh or 42kWh variants and offers 320km of range.
