Italian OEM Maserati has started testing the new full electric propulsion systems that will equip the future models. Experimental vehicles have been fitted with the fully electric powertrain, which was developed at the brand’s Innovation Lab in Modena, Italy.
During this experimental phase, the sound that will characterize the electric engine will also be developed. The tests, which will be conducted in various conditions of use on both road and track, will provide important data for the development of the new electric powertrains.
The new Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio will be the brand’s first cars to adopt a 100% electric powertrain and will be built at the Turin, Italy, production hub.
