Integral Powertrain has announced plans to invest a six-figure sum to upgrade the facilities at its Milton Keynes site in the UK. Planned to be operational by the second quarter of 2019, the upgrade will extend the company’s complete RDE testing capabilities.
As part of the upgrade, Horiba will install its latest-generation Vulcan 2WD and 4WD dyno. The dyno promises high accuracy and repeatability of measurement results and is suitable for a wide range of vehicle types, including passenger cars and hybrid cars.
“This upgrade will put us at the forefront of real driving emissions testing and allow us to offer a wider range of services to our existing and new customers, with state-of-the-art equipment, improved processes, and a dedicated customer online portal,” noted Simon Mead, development manager at Integral Powertrain.
Earlier this year the powertrain and e-drive solutions provider announced its investment in a 3-acre site which will see the company build a new technical center at Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes, UK, to support its e-Drive growth.
