Chevrolet has designed a new concept supercharger along with the new 2018 Silverado Performance concept. Developed for use on the light-duty pickup’s 5.3-liter V8 engine, the component will add over 100ps to the unit’s output the American OEM says.
Based on the LT4 engine component offered in the Corvette Z06 and Camaro ZL1, the Chevrolet Performance intercooled supercharger system is accompanied by a new performance exhaust and brake kits.
The Silverado concept, which features the front six-piston Brembo brake upgrade kit, a 5.3-liter cat-back exhaust, and a cold-air induction system, debuted at the 2017 Specialist Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nevada, this week (October 31-November 3).
