Mercedes-AMG has introduced a range of upgrades to GLC 43 SUV and Coupé models. The tweaked 3-liter V6 biturbo engine at the heart of both variants now develops 395ps, 23ps more than before.
Paired to an AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission, the six-cylinder will generate peak torque levels of 520Nm. The higher torque output can be attributed to applicative software adjustments.
Larger, standalone turbocharger units are mounted close to the engine and have been developed for quick response. The result of the upgrades is a 4.9 second 0-100km/h. While top speed is electronically limited to 250km/h (155mph).
“The GLC 43’s exceptional agility and sporty driving dynamics mean that we are able to meet our brand promise of drive performance in this segment, too”, said Tobias Moers, chairman of the board of management for Mercedes-AMG.
