German auto maker Audi has introduced its latest A1 with a range of new powertrain options. Equipped with the TFSI engines, the hatchback will output between 95ps and 200ps.
Initially available in three variants, the units are enhanced with forced induction, direct injection and particulate filter technology.
The A1 can be fitted with a three-cylinder unit with a 1.0-liter capacity and 116ps of power, a 150ps 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with the cylinder on-demand efficiency system, and a 2.0-liter, 200ps performance-focused model offering 320Nm of torque.
The OEM has also detailed plans to release its 25 TFSI base engine with 95ps output shortly after the initial launch. All the engines can be linked with the seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission or a manual gearbox.
