German OEM BMW has announced that its upcoming M8 will feature a ‘high-revving’ V8 engine. The 2019 coupe has now reached the final phase of the series production development process.
The auto maker has also claimed that the V8 unit, with M TwinPower Turbo technology, will produce north of 608ps.
Developed by BMW M with minimized weight, a low center of gravity, and even weight distribution in mind, the M8 is expected to deliver fuel consumption of 10.7 l/100 km and produce between 243 and 246 g/km of CO₂.
The M8 coupe is expected to launch in the course of 2019.
