Dacia has introduced two new gasoline engines at the Paris Motor Show. The new 1.3-liter TCe 130 GPF and 150 engines feature a lighter aluminum block and bore spray coating.
This coating technology, used on the inside of the cylinder, aims to improve heat management and enable better performance. To reduce particle emissions, the new direct injection engines now also integrate a gasoline particulate filter (GPF).
The 130 engine offers 130ps (96kW) at 5000rpm and maximum torque of 240Nm at 1500rpm, meaning an increase of 5ps compared with the previous generation.
The Dacia 150 unit will produce 150ps (110kW) at 5250rpm and maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1600rpm, therefore an increase of 25ps compared with its predecessor.
Sales of the new Duster petrol engines are now available on 4×2 versions, while the new powerplants will be introduced to the 4×4 from mid-2019.
