UK auto maker Ginetta will introduce its new supercar at the Geneva International Motor Show. Equipped with a naturally aspirated V8 alloy engine – that is being designed and manufactured in-house – the supercar will develop over 600ps. Paired to the eight-cylinder unit will be a sequential gearbox.
Developed with a focus on lightweighting, the car will feature a carbon fiber tub chassis and a full carbon-fiber body. The Leeds-based OEM is also developing a new race-derived aerodynamics package.
Lawrence Tomlinson, Ginetta’s chairman, said: “We’ve come a long way in 60 years, but we still believe Ginetta has great untapped potential.
“In the 1960s our G10 was a giant killer on and off the track, regularly beating Jaguar E-Types. Sixty years on, we’re again applying knowledge and technology from our racing programs to build an uncompromized yet utterly capable road-going supercar.”
