Porsche will expand the model range of the new 911 with the new standard 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera Cabriolet.
Powered by a twin-turbo 3-liter flat six engine, the 911 Carrera models are fitted with model-specific turbochargers, developing 384ps at 6,500rpm and 449Nm of torque from 1,950-5,000rpm. Fitted with the standard 8-speed PDK transmission, the 2020 911 Carrera accelerates from 0-60mph (0-97km/h) in 4.0 seconds.
If the optional Sport Chrono Package is selected, this drops to 3.8 seconds. Both times represent an improvement of 0.2 seconds compared with the previous 911 Carrera Coupe with PDK.
The 2020 911 Carrera Cabriolet reaches 60mph from standstill in just 4.2 seconds, and in 4.0 seconds flat with the Sport Chrono Package. Top track speed is 182mph (293km/h) for the 911 Carrera and 180mph (290km/h) for the 911 Carrera Cabriolet.
The new 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera Cabriolet are equipped with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management). As on the 911 Carrera S and 4S, the electronically variable damping system comes as standard and offers two selectable modes – Normal and Sport.
