Porsche has added two new models to its Panamera range. Equipped with a twin-turbo V8 the new Porsche Panamera GTS and Porsche Panamera GTS Sport Turismo models will be positioned between the Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo variants.
The 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine generates peak output of 455ps from 6,000rpm to 6,500rpm and peak torque of 620Nm from 1,800rpm to 4,500rpm.
In comparison to the previous Panamera GTS with a naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8, the new unit offers an increase of 15ps and an additional 100Nm of torque.
The engine, which sends power to all four wheels through an eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission via the standard Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive system, enables both the new models to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds. The GTS promises a top track speed of 290km/h, or 288km/h for the GTS Sport Turismo.
The chassis also sits 10mm lower than other Panamera models thanks to recalibrated Porsche Adaptive Suspension Management dampers. Large brakes – 390mm in diameter at the front and 365mm in diameter at the rear – provide the stopping power.
