Denso Corporation has announced that it will construct a new plant in Cambodia to produce magnetos and oil coolers. The new plant, which is located in the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone where Denso Cambodia operates its existing plant, will support the increasing vehicle production in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. Denso’s new facility is scheduled to begin production in March 2016 and will result in about 300 new jobs. Denso remains committed to offering products that meet the expectations of customers and consumers. This expansion will also support job creation and economic development of local communities in the region.
The new plant will require an investment of approximately US$19 million, and will occupy a total floor area of 9,600m², set within an area of 100,000m².
