Mahle has aanounced it underwent significant growth during 2015; sales were up to €11.5bn (US$12.8bn), almost 16% year on year, whilst its employment rates were also ‘at a high’ at its multiple locations worldwide.
“Mahle has entered a new dimension. In terms of variety and depth of range, our company is now, more than ever, one of the influential suppliers in the automotive industry,” stated CEO and Chairman of the Mahle Management Board, Wolf Henning Scheider.
The group has grown significantly over the past few years, with presence in 34 countries through its 173 fully consolidated subsidiaries and regional companies. Last year, Mahle formally established itself amongst the 20 largest automotive suppliers worldwide, employing around 76,000 people in more than 170 locations.
Mahle has also invested in its own ‘innovative strength period’, with the number of development engineers and technicians working at 15 development locations worldwide rising by 20%, making the total number more than 6,000.
“It’s a very exciting time for Mahle as a company as we are a global organisation that will continue to grow year on year across the many sectors in which we excel,” added Jonathan Walker, managing director for Mahle Aftermarket UK. “The growth in our product portfolio with OE customers allows us to bring these technologies into the aftermarket, which is a clear benefit for UK Mahle approved distributors.”
