Sentronics Limited used the 2016 Engine Expo to launch two new ultra-compact fluid flow sensors. The two new sensors draw heavily on experience and knowledge gained from Sentronics’ flow sensors eligable for LMP1 and F1 motorsport use.
The FlowSonic LF has been specially developed for the ultra-low fuel flow conditions found in the latest generation of high-efficiency road car engines, while the FlowSonic HF is designed to measure the high fluid flows seen in heavy-duty industrial vehicle applications.
The two units both feature ultra-compact dimensions and lightweight packaging, which Sentronics states ensures ease of portability between dyno and road test scenarios. They also feature advaned ultrasonics, a true 2.2kHy update rate, and fully digital internal processing.
The two units can also accomodate a wide range of testing flow rates, temperatures, vibration conditions, and fuel types. CAN, TTL pulse, and analog output formats are also available.
