US manufacturer Czinger has released powertrain details for its hypercar. The 21C, which is set to debut at the Geneva International Motor Show next week, achieves a true 1:1 power to weight ratio thanks to an in-house-built hybrid V8 drive system.
At the heart of the C21 sits a 2.88-liter, flat crank V8 with twin turbos, and two continuous front traction motors. Also fitted with a crank-driven starter generator, power from the lithium-titanate batteries is available when needed. The hybrid set-up will generate 1235ps.
This is paired with a 7-speed sequential transaxle gearbox with a hydraulic actuated multi-plate clutch. Combined, the system will drive the C21 from 0 to 100km/h in 1.9 seconds and on to 400km/h in 29 seconds.
