Developing the fully electric Volvo XC40

Volvo has discussed the challenges faced during development of its XC40 BEV, and how the absence of a gasoline or diesel motor in the engine bay and the addition of underfloor batteries meant that changes needed to be made to the vehicles structure to ensure passenger safety.
