Lamborghini Squadra Corse has carried out the first fire-up of the 6.5-liter V12 naturally aspirated engine that will power its new track-only hypercar. The test took place at the manufacturer’s Sant’Agata Bolognese factory in Italy.
Developed by the Centro Stile department of Squadra Corse, the 840ps Lamborghini hypercar will feature a large rear wing, an airscoop on the roof and a racing hood with dual air intakes. The track car will also be equipped with an aluminum front frame, a carbon-fiber monocoque and an innovative self-locking differential.
